Depression Resources

If your child is displaying suicidal behaviors or thoughts, seek help immediately!

While the experience of going to the emergency room for mental health care can be challenging, especially with long wait times, it's important to view it as an act of love and care. In this critical moment, getting your child the help they need is the top priority.

If your child is displaying self-injurious behavior, seek help from a professional as soon as possible

While self-injury is often not a suicide attempt, it is a huge red flag for a higher suicide risk. Please have a professional evaluate your child’s risk for either behavior. Ideally, this professional would be trained in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) which is the most effective treatment.
