Services

For many parents, raising a child with challenges can feel like an uphill battle, leaving them unsure of how to find the right support.

These struggles often affect family life, social relationships, and overall well-being. Parents may experience isolation, frustration, and stress in their relationships, while juggling work, self-care, and their child's needs.

The financial strain of accessing resources can feel daunting, especially when parents aren’t sure which services will make a real difference. Concerns about their child’s future independence and success only add to the stress.

Many parents come to me feeling uncertain, sometimes confused by previous assessments or unsure of their child’s future path. They often don’t know what steps to take next.

That’s where I come in.

The Assessment Process

Through a comprehensive assessment, I help provide the clarity and understanding parents need to make informed decisions. Together, we can develop a plan that supports both the child’s growth and the family’s well-being.

    Intake Meeting

    (80-minutes)

Our first meeting will be with parents only, allowing you a chance to discuss your child’s struggles and challenges openly.

I'll gather information about your child's key relationships, interests, home and school environment, as well as their development, strengths, and areas for growth.

This helps us decide on the most appropriate next steps, including whether testing or observation is needed.

    Questionnaires Provided

After the intake, I’ll send questionnaires to you and your child’s teachers. It’s important to complete them as soon as possible, as I’ll need them before scheduling the feedback session.

    Observation

    (If Needed)

If we decide an observation is helpful, I’ll schedule a visit to observe your child in their natural environment, such as their school or home.

The goal is for me to blend in and see how your child functions during a typical day. It's important not to prepare your child for the observation, so their behavior remains natural. I’ll provide guidelines on how to discuss my visit with your child.

The observation will help identify behaviors to address in testing or inform future behavioral strategies.

    Testing Sessions

    (1-3 Sessions)

Each testing session lasts about 2 hours, with breaks to help your child stay engaged and focused. Depending on the testing needs, 1-3 sessions may be required. For families farther away or with older children, I may suggest completing all sessions in one day, while younger children may have sessions spread across multiple days.

If your child is more reserved, I’ll start by letting them explore the environment before moving to interactive activities. I use personalized motivational strategies to keep the testing process enjoyable. While some children may feel tired afterward, many are eager to return after experiencing how it works!

    Questionnaires Returned

The questionnaires you and your child's teacher complete provide valuable insights into how they function in different environments.

To ensure I can fully incorporate this information into my analysis, I kindly request that all questionnaires be submitted by the final testing session.

I am unable to include the details from these forms until they are all completed.

    Thank you for your cooperation!

    Feedback Session

    (90-minutes)

Once all testing is complete and the questionnaires have been submitted, I will schedule a feedback session with you, typically two weeks after the last testing date or the receipt of the completed questionnaires, whichever comes last.

This important meeting will allow us to review the assessment results, discuss key insights into your child’s needs, and go over my recommendations and next steps for supporting their development.

For adolescents, I also offer a separate session to review the results directly with them.

I look forward to collaborating with you to support your child’s progress.

Parent Workshops

In addition to assessments, I offer workshops designed to fit into your busy schedule, running for just four weeks.

The first three weeks focus on lessons and discussions, where you’ll have the opportunity to tailor strategies to your child’s specific needs. The unique blending of my behavioral background and psychology expertise allows me to see your family holistically, while offering creative solutions that can truly make a meaningful impact on your life. In the fourth week, we’ll address any questions you have as you begin applying the new techniques. I keep the workshops small to ensure a supportive and intimate space where you can feel comfortable, heard, and valued.

With the right tools and support, parents can improve their child’s future while also taking care of themselves and their family.
